ebruary Incidents  (Working Fires)

 

Truck House responded to five working fires, in four different municipalities ( Greene (2), Fannett-Metal, Guilford, and Chambersburg Borough) assisted with salvage and overhaul, ladders, extinguishment, ventilation, lighting and air services. Truck House also responded to chimney fires, AFA and smoke in a building. While the 53 house was busy with fires the Old Engine 53 ran a three alarm fire in Mechanicsburg as York County engine 64 (Dillsburg).

February 01, 2011

 Engine 53 was alerted at 12:52 for smoke in a building in the 47-01 Box at 74 East Main St in Newville Borough.  Air 53 was later alerted when the box was upgraded to a working fire.  Engine 53 positioned on side Charlie of the structure.  Engine 53 crews were assigned to advance a handline to the  rear of the structure.  Crews from Engine 53 also laddered the building, and assisted with lighting, salvage, and overhaul operations.  Engine 53 and Air 53 cleared the scene at 13:59.

January 26, 2011

Engine 53 was alerted on the working fire dispatch to 3635 Grandpoint Road.  The Engine operated on scene performing fire attack, lighting, ladders, and extensive overhaul operations.  Units cleared the scene after approximately 3 hours.

January 23, 2011

Engine 53 was alerted for a House Fire in the 7-2 Box.  Crews arrived on scene to find a furnace malfunction.  After some ventilation, lighting, and ladder work crews returned available.

January 20, 2011

Engine 53 alerted for an Auto Accident with Entrapment Box 53-01.  Units arrived on scene to find two vehicles, one person trapped, and the roadway blocked.  Crews completed debris removal and fluid control before going available.

Truck Company and Air 53 was alerted at 21:00 for Mobile Home Fire Box 11-01. Units arrived on scene heavy smoke showing. Company 53 crews assisted with lighting, Salvage and Over Haul, Units cleared at 22:41

Truck Company and Air 53 alerted at 3:11, 52-01 for building fire. Police Department on scene with garage truck fire inside a building, heavy fire. Crews assisted with truck company duties (search and rescue, lighting, ventilation), air 53 assisted with filling cylinders. Units cleared at 04:26
