Month of December

Truck House was alerted to 38 alarms to date with 5 working Fires (1,48,52,12,51), AFA, Transfers, Landing Zone Operation, Basement Fire, smoke in basement, EMS and numerous other calls. 53 members also assisted with 24 smoke detector installs, celebrated with a family Christmas party, and assisted with Toys for tots.

Holiday Runs - Dryer Fire , 2 Oven Fires, and MVA

November 25, 2010

Truck house was alerted 4 times Thursday starting at 00:24 to 72 Lenwood Park for Dryer Fire, crews assisted with ventilation. Truck and Engine was out again at 08:50 to 11018 Morgan for the oven fire, no service needed, chief 15 placed the box in service. About an hour later alerted to 21 White House Road for another oven fire, cleared at 10:06 hrs. Crews made it back for a short break to be alerted at 11:20 to 209 West King St, Box 53-02 for debris removal of a three vehicle accident. Crews assisted with hazard control, cleared at 11:56

House Fire

November 22, 2010

Company 53 was alert to 9220 Otterbein Church Road for the house fire. Units arrived to find heavy smoke showing and fire. Truck crew assisted in search and rescue, ladder the structure for vertical ventilation, and hook support. Units cleared at 1156. .  The SFD arrived an quickly went to work, squad assisting in attack, vertical ventilation and hook support, truck conducting searches, ladders and hook support, and engine

House Fire

November 14, 2010

Truck, Engine, Air 53 was alert at 1645 to box 52-01, Borough of Shippensburg  to 23 S. Washington Street for working house fire. Truck 53 arrived on alpha side and had heavy smoke from structure. Truck crew quickly ladder the structure, started ventilation, while operator assisted with lighting, fans, utilities. Engine 53 position on Charlie side  assisted with lighting and ventilation. Crews then assisted with salvage and overhaul, units cleared at 1844hrs.

Barn Fire (Working Fire)

Air 53 was alert at 1538 to 23143 Burns Valley Road, Fannett Township for the barn fire. Air 53 assisted with salvage and overhaul, and filled cylinders, air 53 cleared at 1734.
