Auto Accident

 April 2, 2010

Company 53 was alerted to 79 W King Street for an auto accident, vehicle into a structure.  Due to the complex rescue, the Cumberland County Collapse Team was requested.  After a removal of the roof from the SUV, crews found two class 4 patients.  Several hours were spent stabilizing the building for safe removal of the SUV.  Immediately following the removal of the bodies the historical building was torn down due to safety concerns.  Special thanks to the many departments that participated with the recovery effort.

House Fire

March 14, 2010

Truck, Engine, and Air 53 was dispatched early this morning for a reported house fire.  Units arrived to find a working house fire and quickly went to work.  Firefighters assisted in fire extinguishment, ventilation, and overhaul.  Good job by everyone.

Congratulations to C. Ross, J. Starliper, B. Bjorkland, N. Stine, A. Emmons, J. Bell, and A. Renner for obtaining interior fire fighter.  We all hope you continue this trend of dedication and public service to others.   You should be proud, your achievement displays the willingness to learn.  See you on the inside!

Garage Fire

Crews responded to High Street in Newburg for a reported garage fire.  Crews arrived to find a small  fire in the garage.  After assisting with lighting and provided overhaul, the truck returned available at 1930 hours.
