Mobile Home Fire
August 17, 2009
Truck 53 and Engine 53 were dispatched at 1433 hrs. to 94 Mt. Rock Rd. in Southampton Twp. for a mobile home fire. Sgt. 11 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from side B. The truck crew arrived and quickly went to work opening up the roof of the mobile home. Crews then quickly knocked down the fire. Truck 53 and Engine 53 went in service at 1544 hrs.

CV Hose Family Fun Day

Members of the Cumberland Valley Hose Company and their families had a fun filled day at Hershey Park. The company arranged and provide tickets for the members and their families to have nice get a way due to all their hard work. Special thanks to Co. 47 who covered the station for the day. Engine and Truck 53 was alerted at 1018am to box 15-6, 9540 Molly Pitcher Hwy (Day Care) for odor of something burning in the kitchen. TK 53 arrived secured utilities, and checked HVAC on roof, E53 staged. Units cleared at 1044am

VEHICLE ACCIDENT
July 17, 2009
Engine 53 was alerted at 0726, box 53-01 for a vehicle accident at the intersection of North Earl Street and Burd Street. E53 arrived to find a single vehicle into a fire hydrant with one patient in the car. Engine crew cribbed vehicle and assisted with patient removal and hazard control. EMS transported to Chambersburg Hospital. E53 cleared at 0738.

2009 PUMP PRIMERS
July 11, 2009
CV Hose members attended the 34th Annual Pennsylvania Antique Fire Apparatus Muster on Saturday, July 11th in Harrisburg. Members participated in the parade with the 1937 Ward Lafrance antique. Later in the afternoon, members participated in several games including Bucket Brigade, Barrel Bust and Barrel Spin. Although the teams fell short in the games, members had a lot of fun. The 1937 Ward Lafrance received the award “Best Appearing Fire Department Owned Pumper” from 1905-1939.
