House Fire

At 2324 hours Truck, Engine and Air 53 were dispatched to 9160 Newburg Road in Lurgan Twp. for a House Fire.  Command 51 arrived on scene with a working fire. Truck, Engine and Air 53 assisted with fire attack, overhaul and lighting.  Company 53 went available at 0224 hours.

Building Fire (4 Alarms)

February 12, 2010

 

Truck and Engine 53 was alerted at 0013 to 44 Over Cash Ave. Greene Township, box 11-13 for a working building fire. As units were approaching from Shippensburg, 3 miles out heavy fire was visible, command 11 started second alarm assignment. Truck 53 arrived on the scene to position on Alpha side to start ladder pipe operation and ladder 53 was assigned to Charlie side of the building for the same operation. Shortly after operation ladder 53 took heavy fire and smoke and continued ladder pipe operation to fire building. Engine 53 then was also assigned to ladder the adjacent building for extension with a 2 1/2 line to protect exposures to building 43.  Later in the fire Truck and Engine 53 then assisted with foam operations. Units cleared a the incident at 0851.

Kitchen Fire

January 16, 2010

 

Truck and Engine 53 was dispatched to 11 South Penn Street, Box 52-01 for the kitchen Fire. Truck 53 arrived with fire showing in the window on the Alpha side. Truck crew quickly made entry on the Bravo Side into the kitchen, and with a quick attack from the Truck "can man" (Ross) fire was extinguished and ventilation was set up prior to arrive of an engine company. Crew assisted with salvage and overhaul units cleared at 20:04.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Working House Fire

 January 10, 2010

 

Truck 53 and Air 53 were alerted at 1028hrs for a house fire at 123 Oak Flat Road in West Pennsboro Township.  Company 53 arrived to find heavy fire and assisted in fire attack, overhaul, and utility control in addition to laddering the structure.  Company 53 operated with 8 personnel on scene for approximately 2 hours.

Chimney Fire with Extension

 January 4, 2010

 

Engine 53 was alerted at 2139, Box 252-103, 2 Gutshall Road, Southampton Township, Cumberland County for the chimney fire. Chief 49 arrived on scene to find smoke showing, fire in the wall. Engine 53 arrived position on side A, ladder the building, assisted with opening up walls, ventilation, utility control. Engine 53 cleared at 2238
